Maryland Smith students gained invaluable international business insights in Winter 2024 through faculty-led study abroad programs. Spanning Japan, South Korea, UAE, France, Vietnam, South Korea, South Africa, and Brazil, these immersive experiences enhanced students' global mindset and understanding of diverse markets and cultures.

Critical global challenges are under scrutiny till 2028: biodiversity loss, industrial policy, rapid transit, e-waste value, and digital twins. At the Distinguished Speakers in International Business Series event, hosted by the Center for Global Business, Erik Peterson of Kearney's Global Business Policy Council shared insights.

International Education Week is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education “to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences.”

Organized and co-sponsored by nine universities across the country including the Center for Global Business at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Senior undergraduates Siri Rao, Alexis Reyes and Gregory Rosario represent the Robert H. Smith School of Business as 2023-2024 Philip Merrill Presidential Scholars.
