Alumni & Industry Professionals
Smith School alumni utilize their global mindset on a daily basis while doing business abroad or while working with multinational companies. The Center for Global Business serves as a national resource center to organize and offer specific programs and activities to build international knowledge, skills, and foreign language opportunities to those alumni as well as industry professionals in the region.
Develop Your Career
This intensive 2-day boot camp in export management is designed to equip industry professionals with a solid foundation in global strategy, resources in export management, market analysis, and tangible tools on how to move goods on the market for international export, the right way. Participants will personally interact with export-related agency representatives who know how to get products into international markets.
The Center for Global Business is actively seeking to support alumni from the State of Maryland University System who are in global business positions in which enhancing their foreign language skills will advance their career and/or support the growth of their respective companies.
The Center for Global Business partners with the Maryland/DC District Export Council and U.S. Commercial Service in Baltimore to offer ExporTech, a national export assistance program that helps companies entering or expanding in global markets.
The Center for Global Business actively supports Maryland companies that compete in international markets through capacity-building workshops, programs that connect companies with student talent and thought leadership events.
