Smith’s Winter Commencement is Dec. 20

Join the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017, at 9 a.m. as we celebrate the accomplishments of business graduates at the Xfinity Center in College Park, Md. For winter commencement, tickets are not required for the Smith School ceremony or the campus-wide ceremony on Tuesday, Dec. 19.

The Smith School commencement ceremonies will be streamed live at

University of Maryland alumna Connie Weaver is the keynote speaker. Weaver is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Tracker Group, a strategic management consulting firm comprised of accomplished entrepreneurial executives with demonstrated success leading change across a variety of industries. Prior to Tracker Group, Weaver was the executive vice president and chief marketing and communications officer at TIAA, and built a dynamic expertise across a variety of complex, highly regulated industries. She holds a B.S. with honors in textile science and marketing from the University of Maryland. She also completed the executive financial management program at Stanford University and the global strategic management program at IMEDE (Switzerland).

Jessica Ting, graduating senior, and You (Rex) Wu, MS degree candidate, will speak at commencement.
