Lights, Camera, More Action in Maryland

By Sala Levin ’10  When the producers of HBO’s political satire “Veep” needed to send scheming, spineless protagonist Selina Meyer and her bumbling aides to the sleek headquarters of a tech company, they didn’t fly Julia Louis-Dreyfus and the rest of the cast to Silicon Valley. She’s a football season ticket holder, she’s served as a commencement speaker and as a board member, and she continues to stay involved, partly because, as she puts it, she’s “jealous” of how much Smith students get out of their education these days.
