There are secrets to baking that also apply to being an entrepreneur. And five Maryland siblings are putting those secrets to work in their latest venture. The Dubbaneh brothers and sisters – Ronnie, Danny, Ronia, Johnny and Deanna – know that to be successful in baking, you have to take care in every step of the process, be patient, give it your time and attention, and love what you’re doing. It’s the same for starting a business.

Alumni Speak on Being Black in Global Business

Maryland Smith alumni shared their thoughts this week as part of the “Passion for Diversity Dialogue Series: Black and Abroad” panel discussion. The virtual event was hosted by the Center for Global Business in partnership with the MBA Association and Black MBA Association, as part of a weeklong lineup of events marking International Education Week.

Maryland Smith’s Anil Gupta, Haiyan Wang Named Again to Thinkers50 List

Noted again as “global strategists, experts on entrepreneurship and the transformational rise of emerging markets, foremost China and India,” Maryland Smith’s Anil K. Gupta and Haiyan Wang, MBA ’95, were recently named in the 2021 Thinkers50 global ranking of management thinkers.

The Latin MBA Student Association and The Smith Women MBAs are partnering to host a Latinx Women in the Workplace event. An alumni panel will join us from across industry sectors to discuss their learnings and advice for excelling in the workplace. We have 5 incredible women joining us from companies like Deloitte, M&T Bank, and Goldman Sachs to share their experiences. The event will begin with a Q&A session followed by a grab-and-go lunch!
