Plus 1 Week is your chance to find out how you can expand your future options with a business master’s degree from the Robert H. Smith School of Business. Our Plus 1 program also allows you to earn your master’s degree for less time and money than a traditional graduate student.
Why Plus 1?
Eligible UMD undergraduates can take up to 10 graduate-level credits while still paying the Smith undergraduate tuition rate, as long as you’re still pursuing your bachelor’s degree.

Most Plus 1 students earn their business master’s degree in just one additional year.
Complete your Plus 1 and business master’s program applications without submitting GMAT or GRE test scores.

Plus 1 Graduate Programs

Apply for the Double Terp Scholarship
While Plus 1 focuses on accelerating your timeline, the Double Terp Scholarship supports students continuing directly into select graduate programs. Eligible UMD undergraduates who enroll in select Smith master’s programs may receive a scholarship that reduces your tuition costs, making your transition from undergrad to grad school even more seamless.
Please note: Students admitted through the Plus 1 program are not eligible for the Double Terp Scholarship.
