Smith’s Finance and Accounting Office houses a team of professionals managing nearly $100 million in annual budgets and dedicated to the following mission:
For faculty, staff, students, vendors, and other partners, Smith School’s Finance and Accounting Office strives to provide support, service, data, analysis, and solutions that are reliable, accurate, timely and collaborative. In so doing, we aim to be valued partners within the Smith and broader University of Maryland communities by driving and supporting processes including but not limited to the following:

Forms and Services
The mission of the Finance & Accounting department is to provide excellent financial reporting and accounts payable services to the faculty and staff of the Robert H. Smith School of Business. These services include timely payments of accounts payable invoices, preparation of accounts receivable invoices, assist with travel arrangements, travel and non-travel reimbursements, procurement, grant administration, scholarship disbursement, and fund management of State Financial Records System operations and three Foundation operations. A major mission of the staff is to provide support to departments on financial budgeting and forecast analysis as well as preparing and reviewing financial reports on a monthly basis.
