Listen to CFP Experts Make Sense of Volatile Markets

The Center for Financial Policy at the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business recently staged a Global Market Volatility Forum.Finance students filled a Van Munching Hall conference room on Sept. 8, 2015 to get insight from Smith faculty experts Russ Wermers, Albert “Pete” KyleHaluk UnalDillip Madan and Steve Heston and William Longbrake UMD public policy professor and CFP senior academic fellow Phillip L. Swagel also participated.

Discussion focused on making sense of recent volatility in international markets, notably in China. Wermers, the center’s director, opened the forum by introducing the panelists who gave prepared assessments before responding to questions posed by both Wermers and some of the students.
