Smith Commencement is May 21

Please join us to celebrate the accomplishments of more than 1,200 graduates from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business on Thursday, May 21, 2015, at the Xfinity Center in College Park, Md. The campus-wide ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. (Tickets are required for the main campus ceremony.) Smith’s undergraduate ceremony will take place at 2:30 p.m. and the graduate ceremony will take place at 5:30 p.m. (No tickets are required for the Smith School ceremonies.)

Smith Commencement is Dec 21

Join the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business on Dec. 21, 2014, at 4 p.m. as we celebrate the accomplishments of our graduates. The ceremony will take place in the Xfinity Center at the University of Maryland’s College Park campus. Tickets are not required. Keynote Speaker

EMBA Cohort 13 Graduates

On July 24, 2014, 41 executives from EMBA Cohort 13 graduated from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, in a ceremony attended by more than 300 family, friends and faculty and staff of the Smith School at the university’s Riggs Alumni Center.

Smith Commencement: Highlights

An enthusiastic crowd gathered in Comcast Center on May 22 and May 23, 2014, to cheer on a brand-new crop of proud Smith School alumni. The Smith School celebrated the commencement of 850 undergraduate students, 230 MBA students, 220 MS and MFin students, and 10 doctoral students. For the first time, the school held separate ceremonies for undergraduate and doctoral students, MBA students, and MS and MFin students. This allowed students and their families to participate in shorter and more intimate ceremonies.

Smith to Tailor Three Ceremonies for Graduates

Smith School of Business undergraduate and PhD commencement on May 23, 2014, while MBA and other graduate students celebrate one day earlier in separate ceremonies. Hosting three commencements instead of one, the norm in previous years, will allow the school to shorten each ceremony and create a more intimate atmosphere for each group.

On Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, 180 undergraduates, 450 MBA and MS students, and three PhDs graduated from the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business. 

Smith Commencement Set for Dec. 22

On Sunday, Dec. 22, at Cole Field House on the campus of the University of Maryland at College Park, the class of December 2013 will graduate from the Robert H. Smith School of Business.  This Smith School commencement, starting 1 p.m., involves 180 undergraduates, 450 MBA and MS students, and three PhDs, who will receive their diplomas upon the completion of their degrees.  Commencement speakers include undergraduate Alaina Rothstein and graduate Andy Cooney.

Congrats to the Class of 2013!

Comcast Center was full of good cheer as the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business celebrated the commencement of 770 undergraduate students; 254 MBA students; 109 MS in Business and Management students; 12 Joint MS in Business and Management/MBA students; 10 Joint MS in Public Policy/MBA students; 13 doctoral students; and 21 custom Executive MBA students from SAIC on May 20, 2013.
