Smith Commencement is Dec 21

Join the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business on Dec. 21, 2014, at 4 p.m. as we celebrate the accomplishments of our graduates. The ceremony will take place in the Xfinity Center at the University of Maryland’s College Park campus. Tickets are not required.

Keynote Speaker

Ronald D. Paul is the chairman, president and CEO of Eagle Bancorp, Inc. as well as the chairman and CEO of EagleBank. Established in 1998 in Bethesda, Md., and with $5 billion in assets and more than 20 offices, EagleBank is the largest community bank in the Washington, D.C., metro area.

Recently named “Community Banker of the Year” for the Eastern Region by the Independent Community Bankers of America, Paul was inducted into the “Washington Business Hall of Fame” in 2012 and was named the 2010 “Washingtonian of the Year” by Washingtonian magazine.

Paul is a University of Maryland alumnus, earning his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting in 1978. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Governors, University of Maryland Alumni Association; the Board of Trustees, University of Maryland College Park Foundation; and the Advisory Board, University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business.
