Tickets are not required for the Smith ceremony or the main campus ceremony, which is on Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 6 p.m. Smith’s keynote speaker is Richard L. Novak ’62, operating partner at Linden Capital Partners. YongHyeok Joo, class of 2017, will sing the National Anthem. The graduate speaker is Rahul Sood and the undergraduate student speaker is Adam Greene.

Graduation day was July 23, 2016, for 43 executives at the Riggs Alumni Center, supported by more than 300 friends, family, faculty, and staff. Dean Alex Triantis congratulated the graduates on completing the rigorous 19-month journey, culminating with a celebration of the fifteenth Executive MBA cohort at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business.

On May 20, 2016, 1,200 students graduated from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business with bachelors’, masters’ and doctoral degrees. The commencement ceremonies were held at the Xfinity Center on the university’s College Park campus. The commencement ceremony was held at the Xfinity Center, University of Maryland’s College Park campus. “The occasion of your commencement is a time to celebrate journeys, to celebrate beginnings and endings, and all the amazing things that happened in between,” said Alex Triantis, dean of the Smith School, in his opening remarks. “Today, we will look back on your journey and look forward to your future.”
