Raghavan is one of 12 new 2025 fellows who will be inducted this fall at the INFORMS annual meeting, Oct. 26-29 in Atlanta. The honor is in recognition of his lifetime contributions to the profession and is reserved for only the very top academics and professionals in the field.
INFORMS fellows exemplify outstanding lifetime achievements in operations research and the management sciences. They are chosen for their exceptional accomplishments and significant contributions to the advancement of their field. “Our 2025 fellows embody the highest level of achievement in operations research and analytics,” said Elena Gerstmann, executive director of INFORMS in a news release. “Through their pioneering research, leadership, and service, they have strengthened our profession and demonstrated the transformative power of data-driven decision making.”
Raghavan’s fellow citation recognizes him for impactful research applying operations research methods to network design and optimization, auction design, data mining, and healthcare; excellence in teaching; and sustained service to INFORMS and the profession.
“Raghu is an exceptional academic with incredible research and truly transformative work to deliver real solutions to real problems,” said Smith School Dean Prabhudev C. Konana. “His lifetime achievements and continued research have had impressive impacts in many important areas, including energy, health care, logistics and telecommunications.”
