PRC Seminar Series: Centering Race in LGBTQ+ Women's Health Research

Dr. Alison Cerezo will share recent community-partnered research projects that explore how intersectional discrimination impacts mental health and substance use among racial and ethnically diverse LGBTQ+ communities. Cerezo will also discuss intersectional approaches to health equity research, including qualitative and quantitative work. Cerezo is Assistant Professor in the Department of Counseling, Clinical, and School Psychology at University of California Santa Barbara. Cerezo also directs the Social & Health Equity Lab at UCSB where she leads her team in carrying out community-partnered qualitative, quantitative and mixed methodologies in the U.S. and Mexico.
