Ilya Ryzhov is the Dean's Professor of Decision Sciences at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland. He earned his Ph.D. from Princeton University in 2011. Ryzhov is a co-author of the book “Optimal Learning” with W.B. Powell. His research focuses on business analytics, including optimization, probability, and statistics, with a particular emphasis on decision-making under uncertainty and information collection. His work spans both theoretical and applied areas, including humanitarian and nonprofit operations, medical decision-making, revenue management, and transportation.
