Sept. 14, 2010 - CEO @ Smith kicked off its 2010-11 lineup with Mayo Shattuck, president and chief executive officer of Constellation Energy Group. Shattuck took the podium in front of a crowd 300-strong to lecture on the future of energy and the life of a CEO, and to take questions from the audience.
Sixty-two percent of small business owners report they struggle to come up with new ideas that increase revenue. However, the thirty-seven percent of business owners who are successful in innovative marketing leverage Internet technologies to build brand awareness, generate business leads, engage with customers and develop new ideas.

Students at the University of Maryland, College Park, are invited to attend the Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) Symposium on International Programs at the Robert H. Smith School of Business. The event takes place on Sept. 13 from 6 to 8 p.m.

College Park, Md. – Aug. 30, 2010 — The University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business will launch a new Center for Leadership, Innovation and Change (CLIC) on Oct. 1 with a daylong event in Washington, D.C. Lockheed Martin Chairman and CEO Bob Stevens will keynote the event.
Senior supply chain management major Ryan Brown took the Robert H. Smith School of Business’ mission of “connecting in the Nation’s Capital” very seriously. He took the spring 2010 semester off to take advantage of the University of Maryland, College Park’s, close proximity to Washington, D.C., by working as an intern in the White House Travel Office.
