On February 5, 2016, student club officers of the Smith Master Student Association (SMSA) and affiliated clubs participated in a day-long LeaderShape Catalyst session at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business.
A Silicon Valley startup called the Minerva Project has put traditional colleges and universities on notice. Minerva students live together in rental housing and engage in experiential learning, but they don’t go to lectures or take final exams.
Twenty students from the University of Maryland traveled to South Africa over winter break, Jan. 4-17, 2016, in partnership with the University of Cape Town's SHAWCO-Centre for Entrepreneurship.
