The fictitious scenario (another involved a pharmaceutical company linked to mercury contamination in India) framed part of a Feb. 22 "Leadership under Fire 2013" competition at the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business.

Expanding the definition of diversity and fostering a culture of inclusiveness were two themes echoed throughout seven company presentations at the Diversity in the Workplace Symposium held Feb. 11, 2013 in the Frank Auditorium at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith Launches Public Relations for Business Leaders Pilot Project

In fall 2012, the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business joined four other universities in an MBA initiative pilot curriculum called Public Relations for Business Leaders.  This project, in cooperation with the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), aims to equip students with the professional communication skills that are essential to leaders today.
