The University of Maryland’s Robert H. During a sunny late spring day on the campus of Clemson University, a cross-departmental team from the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business attended the 2017 NACE Competency Symposium, sponsored by Clemson University and the University of Tampa.

Smith Undergrad Staff Spotlight Tori Shay, Academic Advisor, Undergraduate Programs This week, Tori Shay will be celebrating her one-year anniversary as an academic advisor for the undergraduate program at the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business. And while she’s only completing her first year as a professional advisor for Smith, she has spent the past seven years at the University of Maryland building bridges, growing communities, and empowering students.

From China to Rwanda and numerous places in between, students at the University of Maryland apply their classroom learning in real-world settings to provide valuable feedback to companies seeking to develop their global reach. Through experiential learning programs such as consulting projects offered by the Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) at the University of Maryland, undergraduate and graduate students from across the university and throughout the state came together in spring 2017 to consult for local and international businesses.

In April 2017, four students in the Social Innovation Fellows Program at the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business traveled to Rome, Italy, with Professor David Kirsch to present research at the inaugural IESE-LUISS Business School Conference on Responsibility, Sustainability and Social Entrepreneurship. Claudia Donnelly, a program manager in the undergraduate program at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, writes about volunteering at A Wider Circle in nearby Silver Spring, Md. On May 24, 2017, just a couple of days after congratulating hundreds of seniors at the Robert H. Smith School of Business commencement ceremony, advisors and staff from the Office of Undergraduate Program turned their attention to helping others in the nearby community and spent several hours at a non-profit organization called A Wider Circle in Silver Spring, Md.

There was the usual pomp and circumstance, and quite a lot of excitement, as 1,200 students graduated from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business on Monday at the Xfinity Center on the university’s College Park campus, May 22, 2017. Undergraduate Ceremony At the undergraduate ceremony, graduating senior Cecelia Cizek sang the National Anthem and Kelly Cosgriff delivered the student address.

A “Halfway to Graduation!” event celebrated the students of the Class of 2019 as they marked their last day as sophomores at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business.
