Students Organize Walk Against Domestic Violence

Students Organize Walk Against Domestic Violence

On Friday, Nov. 6, 2015, the Smith Undergraduate Student Association (SUSA) will be capping off its Community Service Week with a walk against Domestic Violence around Van Munching Hall. The walk, which will start at 6 p.m. and end at 8 p.m., focuses on eliminating silent witnesses and bystanders and encourages participants to be heard, using walker participation and involvement to show the difference taking a stand can make.

The event is organized by undergraduate students at the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business and co-sponsored by Deloitte, Smith's Office of Career Services, and Humanity First, a student organization that works locally and internationally to provide service opportunities at the University of Maryland.

Interested participants can register at Tinyurl.com/SUSAWALKS, and the first 100 to register will receive a free t-shirt. So don’t delay, sign up and come have a blast and make a difference for a great cause!  Any questions can be directed to susa.community@gmail.com.
