Earlier this month, we asked our Facebook community at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business to tell us their favorite memories from the 2014-15 academic year. Thanks to all of the Smith Terps who responded with these great answers!
- “Hmmmm what about the time I almost died from the wing eating contest at Smith Stock.”
- Kevin - “Winning the Wake Forest Marketing Summit alongside three Smith School students!”
- Michael - “So I don't start until the fall - but does getting into Smith count as a favorite memory of the year!? Smile emoticon.”
- Amelia - “Winning Duke MBA Games for Special Olympics with my fellow Smith MBAs!”
- Steven - “Discussing and evaluating pro and cons of the companies in Cupid’s Cup, in my business policy class.”
- Patrick - “Surprisingly, preparing for an hour long presentation for my accounting ethics class. We made a silent film, our class' version of mean tweets, and our own version of OSCARS (Open Source Collection of Accounting Related Scandals). Working with this group in such a creative way was absolutely the best way to end senior year!”
- Sharon - “Walking out of my intermediate Accounting 2 final knowing that I nailed it.”
- Alexis - “Supply Chain Fellows trip to Long Beach!”
- Hannah - “The etiquette dinner!”
- Pleiku - “Not failing.”
- Gregory - “Online MBA cohort 4 residency weekend!”
- Rebecca - “Indra Nooyi CEO @ Smith event when I met my role model.”
- Neha - “It's my first semester at Smith so not getting lost is always a plus! Helping to start a new club, TerpSBDA [Terp Sales and Business Development Association] has been one of my favorite adventures this semester though!”
- Katie - “Going to the Supreme Court with Business Law Fellows!!”
- Faith - “Meeting the person whose name [Leo Van Munching] is on the building we did our group project on!”
- Ilya - “Winning the PwC Accounting Case Competition despite the lack of accounting background.”
- Josie - “Free Chick-fil-A breakfast sandwiches! Grin emoticon.”
- Danny - “Graduating.”
