Welcome to Maryland Smith

Welcome to the Smith School of Business!

Since you are already a member of our University of Maryland community, you probably know that the Smith School is one of the most prestigious colleges on our campus. You may not know that it is also one of the best business schools worldwide. Our students, faculty, and staff lead the way for excellence in business education. We are delighted that you have chosen to be a part of the Smith School as we aspire to even higher levels of success.

As a new student in Smith, I think you will find many current students, alumni, staff, and faculty who are ready, willing, and able to welcome you with open arms. Some of the most frequently asked questions are addressed in the orientation modules below. I encourage you to spend some time with this resource as the first step in your Smith journey. From there, we will pair you up with a Smith advisor who focuses on undergraduate success, including yours.

Our goal is aligned with your goal: provide you the advice and support needed so that you realize your potential here at the University of Maryland and beyond.

Thank you for choosing Smith! Welcome!

Sincerely,
