Students aspiring to international careers put their skills to the test in the Center for Global Business Case Interview Competition, tackling real-world challenges and presenting global expansion strategies for N5 Sensors, Inc., while gaining valuable experience and industry connections.

The Center for Global Business at the Smith School offers experiential learning through programs like the Summer Language Institute Scholarship, Maximizing Maryland Internship, Maryland Global Consulting, and Global Summer Internship. These initiatives provide students hands-on experience in international business and cultural immersion.

Two undergrads from the Smith School attended the CUIBE Global Summer Leadership Summit in Colombia. They gained valuable insights into sustainable business practices, international business dynamics, and expanded their professional networks through immersive learning experiences and cultural engagement.

Caitlin Clark, now with the WNBA’s Indiana Fever, boosted women's basketball interest as a University of Iowa guard. Maryland undergrads analyzed her impact in a Business Analytics workshop, led by Professors Gisela Bardossy and Bruce Golden, showcasing their skills.

On April 23 and 24, Deloitte professionals joined Smith School faculty for “Takeover Days,” where 333 students across 13 classes tackled real-world projects. Guided by experts, they analyzed data and applied their knowledge to solve consulting scenarios.

University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business graduate students, in the Master of Science in Management Studies programs, showcased innovative solutions for corporate clients through hands-on experiential learning, earning high praise for their professional and impactful projects.

Students from the Smith School's Master of Science in Information Systems program will embark on real-world projects in a new summer pilot by Smith Business Consulting. They will collaborate with Hughes Network Systems on cloud-based endeavors, enhancing cross-functional skills and fostering industry integration.

This spring, the Center for Global Business worked with two clients through the Maryland Global Consulting Program, a mainstay of the Center's ongoing effort to enhance the global competitiveness of Maryland businesses.

Montgomery County, Maryland, aims for 100% greenhouse gas emission reduction by 2035. Smith Business Consulting students collaborate with the county, providing pro-bono services to achieve these goals. This initiative aligns with the Smith School's social impact and experiential learning strategies.
