Undergraduate Scholars Receive Awards

For the past 21 years, the University of Maryland has celebrated four students in the College Park Scholars (CPS) program who have earned the Scholars Citation and who exemplify the best in Academic Achievement and Citizenship during their two-year program. There are 12 unique CPS programs and the Robert H. School of Business sponsors one of them - the Business, Society and the Economy program (BSE). The awardees from all 12 programs were honored at the Citation Ceremony held on Oct. 13, 2017.

Dingman Center Expands Board of Advisors

The additions are part of an effort to engage more successful founders, investors and business leaders in the activities of the Center and expand its footprint in the region and nationwide. This esteemed group advises the Center’s executive director on strategic initiatives, development and growth opportunities and provides mentorship and connections to student and alumni entrepreneurs.

Investor, Philanthropist and Smith School Benefactor Michael Dingman Dies at 86

Michael David Dingman, benefactor and namesake of the Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, died on Oct. 3, 2017, at his home in Lyford Cay, Bahamas. He was 86.

Meet Smith’s New PhD Class
