Smith Vets Club

Smith Vets is established for the expressed purpose of facilitating contact between current MBA students and potential employers, maintaining an outreach program for prospective veteran applicants, and perpetuating a network of veteran students able to assist each other throughout the MBA program. We are committed to coordinating value-added events that build close camaraderie amongst our distinguished members and the Smith MBA cohort.

Adam Rabon

Adam has spent seven years in the Navy as an enlisted sailor and assesses his time in the military as being the most important and impactful of his life. Adam joined the military from high school and later completed his undergraduate degree in Strategic Studies and Defense Analysis from Norwich University while on active duty. Adam spent time in San Diego and Virginia Beach with two deployments overseas. 

Adam is excited and thankful to continue his education in Maryland Smith’s MBA program to grow both personally and professionally. He looks forward to working and learning from others at Smith. In his spare time, Adam likes to go to the gym and spend time in nature. 

Fun Fact

I’ve hiked the trail with the greatest elevation gain in the Smoky Mountains (twice!).

Courtney McClammy

Courtney is originally from Kansas, but has spent the last few years living in Maryland due to her military career. During her time in the military, she focused on planning and executing deployment and exercise operations. She obtained her bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland- Global Campus and enrolled into Smith's Full-Time MBA program to help with her transition into her civilian career. In her free time she enjoys exploring the DMV area with her husband and their two dogs, reading mystery books, and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs.

Fun Fact

Courtney likes to collect passport stamps from National Parks that she visits. So far, her favorite stamp collected was from Denali National Park in Alaska.
