A Roadmap to AI Adoption in Higher Ed

AI is reshaping higher education faster than most institutions can respond. Get a practical, proven roadmap built specifically for academic leaders. In this talk, Professor Mark McNeilly presents a practical roadmap for how universities and schools can adopt artificial intelligence intelligently, ethically, and effectively. Drawing on his experience chairing the University of North Carolina’s Provost’s AI Committee, the session provides a practical roadmap for Higher Ed organizations to adopt AI in teaching, research, and university operations. The presentation outlines actionable strategies for building AI literacy and fluency among students, faculty, and staff, creating AI governance structures, building the foundations for AI adoption, and positioning universities as intentional leaders in AI. Attendees leave with a framework they can adapt to their own institution’s needs and stage of AI maturity.
