Hosted by the Smith School of Business, presented by the LGBT Equity Center, open to all UMD staff, faculty, and students. International Pronouns Day is coming up on October 21, and what an opportunity this is to continue our learning around respecting pronouns in our daily, personal, and professional lives. Shige Sakurai (they/them) will give us a brief overview, a short activity, and an opportunity to ask questions. Sakurai, the founder of International Pronouns Day, has taught in the Smith School’s Online MBA program and works at UMD as the director of leadership initiatives in the LGBT Equity Center.
