By opting in to receive text messages from the University of Maryland, Robert H. Smith School of Business, you agree to the following terms:

  • The School of Business may send you SMS messages regarding upcoming events, alumni engagement opportunities, and prospective academic programs of interest.
  • You may cancel the SMS service at any time. To opt out, simply text “STOP” to the number you received messages from. Upon receiving your request, we will send a confirmation SMS letting you know you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive text messages from us. If you choose to rejoin the service, you may do so by signing up again as you did initially.
  • If you experience issues with the messaging program, you can reply with the keyword “HELP” for assistance. For additional support, you may also contact us directly at smithmasters@umd.edu.
  • Please note that mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and from you to us. Message frequency will vary depending on your engagement with the Robert H. Smith School of Business. For details about your specific text or data plan, please contact your wireless provider.
  • For information about how we handle your personal data, please refer to our privacy policy.
  • No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
