Dingman Advising sessions will be held every Thursday of the semester from 4 to 6 p.m. On the first two Thursdays of the month, Dingman Advising will be held in person at the Dingman Center offices in Van Munching Hall and the last two Thursdays of the month will be held virtually. The Dingman Center will provide UMD student entrepreneurs with a table, chair, and tablecloth. Vendors bring their products, marketing materials, a sign with your name/logo and anything else to add to your table.

Pitch Dingman Competition, the Dingman Center’s signature annual Shark Tank-style competition, provides the university’s most talented student entrepreneurs the opportunity to compete for seed funding and exclusive access to venture development resources. This year, the Dingman Center is offering more prize money than ever before and four competition tracks for University of Maryland students to  compete. Watch our finalists pitch their businesses to a panel of expert judges for a chance to win over $90,000 in seed funding.

Elevate! Diverse Founders aims to celebrate the entrepreneurial journeys of underrepresented entrepreneurs, and explore challenges, opportunities and solutions related to accessing networks for investment, collaboration and general business growth. It also provides a space to discuss the kind of campus community that can elevate equity and inclusion within entrepreneurship.

This inspiring event will be in-person at Van Munching Hall with heavy hors-d’oeuvres and time for networking.
