Journal of Service Research Ranked #4 for Business Research Impact

The Journal of Service Research (JSR) has been ranked No. 4 of 121 journals for its impact on business research published in 2016. JSR is sponsored by the Center for Excellence in Service (CES) at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, in conjunction with Sage Publications. JSR’s founding editor is Roland Rust, Distinguished University Professor and David Bruce Smith Chair in Marketing. Rust is also executive director of the Center for Excellence in Service.

The Journal Citation Reports™ provides annual rankings of journals in a variety of academic disciplines. Rankings are based on the frequency with which articles published in a given journal are cited in papers published in other journals in the field. The resulting “Impact Factor” indicates the quality of a journal, relative to other journals in its field.

JSR is international in scope, and publishes research that is both academically rigorous and managerially relevant. The journal is also multi-disciplinary, featuring articles on service marketing, operations, human resource management, information systems, technology and strategy.
