Carly Holmes Directory Page

Carly Holmes is the Coordinator for Experiential Learning, starting this position in July of 2023. Through this position she will be supporting efforts to create volunteer engagement opportunities for Smith alumni and partners that will in turn support our current students. 

Previously Carly has worked at KIPP Forward in DC, advising alumni of the KIPP DC Charter School system through their post-secondary journeys. Additionally, Carly has worked with the University of Maryland previously while attending as an Ambassador for the College of Education and as a Do Good Institute Accelerator Fellow. During her time as a fellow she worked on creating a non-profit called DC2UNI that would support getting DC students to college and to graduation. Additionally she has interned with Blake Learning Solutions as they supported the Arlington National Cemetery’s Education Division and taken part in a Teaching Fellowship with Uncommon Schools. 

Carly graduated from the University of Maryland College Park in the Fall of 2022 with a Bachelors of Arts in History with a Concentration in African American History and a Minor in Education. In the future she hopes to get a Master’s and PhD in Higher Education or Student Affairs. In her free time Carly likes to write, draw, and play video games.
