EMBA Cohort 16 Crosses the Stage
July 29, 2017 - The sun peeked out of the clouds, heralding the end of a long, heavy rain just as Executive MBA graduates from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business marked the culmination of a challenging, transformative journey. During his commencement address, Associate Dean Mike Faulkender pointed out what an enriching experience this was, not only for the EMBA graduates, but for faculty as well.

Smith Staff Volunteer at A Wider Circle

Smith School of Business, writes about volunteering at A Wider Circle in nearby Silver Spring, Md. On May 24, 2017, just a couple of days after congratulating hundreds of seniors at the Robert H. Smith School of Business commencement ceremony, advisors and staff from the Office of Undergraduate Program turned their attention to helping others in the nearby community and spent several hours at a non-profit organization called A Wider Circle in Silver Spring, Md.
Maryland Smith Honors MBAs at Awards Banquet
The University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business celebrated the accomplishments of full-time MBA students at the annual MBA End-of-Year Banquet on May 19, 2017, at the College Park Marriott Hotel and Conference Center. Students nominate their classmates and professors for the awards and a committee of students, faculty and administrators selects the recipients.

There was the usual pomp and circumstance, and quite a lot of excitement, as 1,200 students graduated from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business on Monday at the Xfinity Center on the university’s College Park campus, May 22, 2017. Undergraduate Ceremony At the undergraduate ceremony, graduating senior Cecelia Cizek sang the National Anthem and Kelly Cosgriff delivered the student address.
