A writing festival honoring the memory of Peter Carr, our beloved colleague, who passed away on March 1, 2022, is planned for November 10-12, 2022.

On June 17, the Robert H. Smith School at the University of Maryland will host the 2022 Journal of Accounting and Public Policy (JAPP) Conference. This is the tenth in a continuing series of JAPP conferences that rotate among IE Business School in Spain, the London School of Economics (LSE), and the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business.

This workshop brings together academics, thought leaders and stakeholders to discuss how analytics can support nonprofit organizations, government entities and social impact organizations in improving their reach and impact through innovative use of data and models. The overarching theme is analytics for doing good.

The Hon. Jamie Raskin, Congressman (D-MD), author and professor of constitutional law will be discussing ethical leadership in business and politics.
