Smith School of Business is ranked No. 21 among all U.S. MBA programs in the Financial Times MBA 2006rankings, published today. The influential rankings place Smiths MBA program 4th among the top 25 U.S. schools in the value for money category. This is the fifth consecutive year the Smith School has placed among the top five.

College Park, MD January 10, 2006 The University of Marylands Robert H. Smith School of Business today announced that it intends to offer an Executive Master of Science (MS) in Accounting program. The program will include a focus on internal auditing making it a unique offering and well positioned to meet a critical need for accountants with advanced degrees and internal audit specialization following the institution of the Sarbanes Oxley Act.

The scholarships will be merit-based and specifically designed to help executives from underrepresented industry areas including the government and non-profit sectors in attaining their career and leadership goals.
