Graduating Seniors Honor Smith Undergraduate Faculty

During the past year, the Dean’s Student Advisory Council (DSAC) collected nominations from graduating seniors at the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business for the 2017’s Faculty Member of Distinction Award. Victor Mullins, associate dean of undergraduate studies, attended the 17th Annual Undergraduate Senior Awards Dinner on May 4, saying, “I am elated to acknowledge these exceptional undergraduate professors on behalf of the Senior Class of 2017.”

Smith Staff Members Volunteer at "A Wider Circle"

Staff members from the Office of Undergraduate Studies at the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business marked the first day in the office after the graduation of the Class of 2016 by volunteering with A Wider Circle, a local nonprofit dedicated to ending poverty in our community.

Smith’s Business Academy Visits Alumni in NYC

Undergraduate students in the Smith Business Academy at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business traveled to New York City last weekend (April 29, 2016) with Associate Dean Victor Mullins. “The members of the Smith Business Academy have been working diligently for the entire year in efforts to develop professionally, socially and academically," said Mullins. This is, in fact the mission of the Smith Business Academy: to develop students professionally, socially and academically as a community of minority African American and Latino students.

“100 Days” Prepares Smith Seniors for their First Lap as Terp Alumni

Smith Students Study Entrepreneurship in Africa

Twenty students from the University of Maryland traveled to South Africa over winter break, Jan. 4-17, 2016, in partnership with the University of Cape Town's SHAWCO-Centre for Entrepreneurship. This is the second year that students at the Robert H. The Smith School's nearly 500 incoming freshman started their college experience with a good breakfast, loud music, and a chorus of cheering on Saturday, August 29 at the Xfinity Center. The Smith Leadership Institute, sponsored by Ernst & Young, gives students the opportunity to get to know each other and become oriented to the culture and community at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business.
