Smith Supply Chain Fellows Win Case Competition
A team of undergraduate students representing the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business won first place in a supply chain case competition on Sept. 17, 2017. The event was part of the annual Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) EXPO, a three-day event in Long Beach, Calif.
Undergrad Career Fair Goes Digital with New App
Undergraduate students had an extra source of intelligence at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business fall career fair on Sept. 15, 2017. A customized smartphone app allowed participants to track their favorite employers, read about job and internship opportunities, find specific booths on a map and engage in social media.

QUEST 25th Anniversary Celebration Is Oct 7
The Quality Enhancement Systems and Teams (QUEST) Honors Program at the University of Maryland is celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year with a celebration on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, at The Hotel, a new luxury hotel and conference center at UMD. Undergraduate students from the Robert H. Smith School of Business, A. James Clark School of Engineering and the College of Computer, Mathematical and Natural Sciences are eligible to apply for QUEST.

“How was your summer?” Everyone asks this pinnacle question on the first day of fall semester classes. Maybe you’ve been crafting the perfect response, perhaps you haven’t given much thought to it, or most likely, you still wish it was summer. Either way, hopefully, you had a rewarding break. For many students in the Ed Snider Center for Enterprise and Markets at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, summer was jam-packed with adventure and opportunity.
