QUEST Team Wins IBM Design Challenge
Undergraduate students from the University of Maryland’s QUEST honors program took center stage on Oct. 7, 2017, as they pitched their ideas to a panel of IBM judges. In celebration of the program’s 25th anniversary, IBM partnered with Quality Enhancement Systems and Teams (QUEST) to introduce the monthlong design challenge.

Smith Supply Chain Fellows Win Case Competition
A team of undergraduate students representing the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business won first place in a supply chain case competition on Sept. 17, 2017. The event was part of the annual Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) EXPO, a three-day event in Long Beach, Calif.
Undergrad Career Fair Goes Digital with New App
Undergraduate students had an extra source of intelligence at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business fall career fair on Sept. 15, 2017. A customized smartphone app allowed participants to track their favorite employers, read about job and internship opportunities, find specific booths on a map and engage in social media.
