COLLEGE PARK, Md. - April 16, 2015 - Under Armour Founder and CEO Kevin Plank and the Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business announced today the corporate sponsors of the final round of the 2015 Cupid's Cup Business Competition. The event is from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at UMD’s Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center.
Pitch Dingman on Terp Ride Bus
On Friday, April 10, and Friday, April 17, the Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship will host Pitch Dingman walk-in sessions aboard the Terp Ride bus as part of UMD's 30 Days of Entrepreneurship celebration (#30DaysUMD). Entrepreneurs-in-residence will be on the bus ready to give actionable feedback on business ideas from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Terp Ride will be parked in the bus terminal outside of Stamp Student Union.
Cupid’s Cup Goes Global for 10th Anniversary
Cupid’s Cup is turning 10, and Under Armour founder Kevin Plank ’96 is celebrating with an expanded entrepreneurship competition starting 6 p.m. April 22, 2014, at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center. For the first time, student teams from outside the United States will join the field vying for $115,000 in cash prizes.

Five Startups Named to Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship Summer Incubator
The Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship has announced five students who have been selected for its summer incubator, Terp Startup. Terp Startup is the third and final stage of Fearless Founders, an experiential program that provides student teams the strategy, frameworks and tools necessary to develop their business ideas using lean startup methodology. The program demystifies the venture creation process by breaking it up into three stages: Idea Shell, Hatch and Terp Startup.
