Krupesh Bhat, MBA '05, transformed his frustration during a driver’s license renewal into an entrepreneurial breakthrough, leading to the creation of LegalDesk in 2014. Today, as CEO of SignDesk, he's revolutionizing business documentation in India, honored as a SaaS leader, with over 1500 clients and nearly 450 employees worldwide.

Recommendations from friends and growing up in the region helped Marcus De Paula decide on the Smith School for his education. Today De Paula is a multi-disciplinary artist and curator. His sculptures have been exhibited in many places, including a piece built for Burning Man in 2022.

Palpable optimism and endless opportunity filled the halls of the College Park Marriott Conference Center as undergraduate and graduate students participated in career events at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business.Hosted by Smith’s Office of Career Services as a two-day affair, the Smith School’s Undergraduate Career Fair and Graduate Career Expo united students, alumni and industry professionals under one roof where they explored employment opportunities and jump-started careers.

“It’s moving to me that our project will in some small way impact the future of veteran care. Isn’t that what we all want in life, to leave our corner of the world a little better than we found it?”
