Complexity in Business Conference Explores Social Media Messaging

Decision makers in public and private sectors should be paying attention to and leveraging chatter on a platform like Twitter to better connect and resonate with the masses. At the Smith School’s Center for Complexity in Business (CCB) Conference from Nov. 7 to 8 at the Ronald Reagan Building, experts from academia and industry discussed methods for investigating and disseminating social media content.

Smith Welcomes MS Students

About 500 new students participated in orientation from Aug. 19 to 27 for the Robert H. Smith School of Business’ Master of Science in Business program. Activities took place on main campus, as well as the Smith centers at Shady Grove and the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C.   The Dean’s Office welcomed the students with remarks from newly-appointed Dean Alex Triantis, Interim Dean Michael Ball and Vice Dean Joyce Russell. 

Marketing Analytics Roundtable Highlights

The Robert H. Smith School of Business’s Center for Complexity in Business held its second-annual Digital Marketing Analytics Roundtable Aug. 1, 2013 at the Smith Suite in the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C. The roundtable was held in collaboration with Teradata. Smith marketing faculty members Bill Rand, the director of CCB, and Roland Rust, the executive director of CCB, led the event.
