Smith School celebrates International Education Week with the Office of Global Initiatives, November 16-20 The Office of Global Initiatives (OGI) at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business is excited to celebrate our global diversity amongst our students, faculty and staff during next week’s International Education Week (IEW).

Today, members of the community at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business express their gratitude to members of our military, past and present, and their families. Approximately 150 current students at the Smith School are active duty military and veterans, and there are thousands of Terps who have served.

SMITH BRAIN TRUST -- Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton gained 15,000 Twitter followers during Tuesday’s Democratic debate. Her rival Bernie Sanders gained nearly 50,000 followers. But the Twitterverse winner was not on stage.

John W. Rogers, Jr., described by Black Enterprise as “one of the most powerful” African Americans on Wall Street, is the featured guest for the second Diversity Fireside Chat presented by the University of Maryland’s Office of Community Engagement and Robert H. Smith School of Business. The event is from 12:30-2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, 2015 in the Tyser Auditorium, Van Munching Hall.

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The University of Maryland announced today a gift of $10 million from the Robert H. Smith Family Foundation to support MBA scholarships, undergraduate leadership programs and facility enhancements for the Robert H. Smith School of Business. The gift will also continue to fund the school's Center for Social Value Creation.

This academic year, we welcomed approximately 450 new specialty masters students to the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business. Incoming students will catch the attention of employers as they delve deep into specialized programs for accounting, finance, information systems, marketing analytics, and supply chain management.
