$1.5M Gift From Fishlinger Family Foundation to Fund Entrepreneurship Center, Career Advising

The University of Maryland will receive a $1.5 million gift from the Fishlinger Family Foundation to support the Robert H. Smith School of Business’ Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship and the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences’ Joel and Kim Feller Advising and Career Center. The first $1 million of the donation is designated to help fund the Dingman Center’s programs, operations and other initiatives that help students launch their own startups. The other $500,000 will go to the Feller Center, to endow a Fishlinger director of career planning.

Maryland Smith’s Online MBA and Full-Time MBA programs are among the best in the country, according to a new ranking published by Fortune Education. Smith’s OMBA was listed as No. 6 in the United States in 2021. The highly acclaimed program also places among the top 10 in rankings from U.S. News & World Report and the Financial Times. Meanwhile, Maryland Smith’s flagship Full-Time MBA program ranked as No. 26 in the country in 2021, according to Fortune Education.
