Global Teams Compete in the Finance IB Agility Lab

As part of the #KeepGlobalSmith campaign, the Center for Global Business held the International Business (IB) Agility Lab: Finance from February 24-26, 2021. The IB Agility Labs are short, virtual case competitions that allow undergraduate students to learn from global business leaders, collaborate with international peers, and focus on business resilience.

Smith Students Explored the World in Winter 2019

Undergraduate students at the Robert H. Smith School of Business have completed another successful cycle of the faculty-led short-term study abroad programs. This past winter semester, the Center for Global Business offered four programs that explored different topics in social entrepreneurship and innovation, accounting, and quality management across the globe.

UMD-Smith Students Finalists in ALPFA Case Competition

Students from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business were finalists in the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA) National Case Competition, sponsored by KPMG and held at their national convention in Orlando, Fl., August 2-5, 2014. This is the fourth year in a row that UMD has been a finalist – coming in second place the previous two years.

Smith Undergrads Win NABA Case Study Competition

For the second year in a row, accounting students from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business took home first place in the student case study competition at National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) National Convention & Expo, held in Washington, D.C., June 18-20, 2014.
