A team of students from the Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) program at the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business won the first prize award of $2,500 at the American Public Health Association’s 2015 Codeathon in Chicago.

Food trucks will visit the Robert H. Smith School of Business this fall semester on the following Thursdays: September 10 September 24 October 15 October 29 November 12 The participating food trucks vary by week and will include:

Rogers, Jr., described by Black Enterprise as “one of the most powerful” African Americans on Wall Street, is the featured guest for the second Diversity Fireside Chat presented by the University of Maryland’s Office of Community Engagement and Robert H. Smith School of Business. The event is from 12:30-2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, 2015 in the Tyser Auditorium, Van Munching Hall.

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The University of Maryland announced today a gift of $10 million from the Robert H. Smith Family Foundation to support MBA scholarships, undergraduate leadership programs and facility enhancements for the Robert H. Smith School of Business. The gift will also continue to fund the school's Center for Social Value Creation.

This academic year, we welcomed approximately 450 new specialty masters students to the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business. The University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business is excited to announce some faculty-favorite books in the "12th Annual Top-10 Summer Reading List for Business Leaders" for 2015, as recommended by members of its faculty and administrators. If you're heading off to business school as an undergrad/MBA or you are already climbing up the corporate ladder, these books will keep you up-to-date on current trends.

On Saturday, June 6, 2015, alumni of the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business enjoyed an exclusive evening event at the Maryland Science Center in Baltimore, Md. Alumni and their families were able to experience interactive stations without the typical crowds during normal operating hours. Attendees visited the many exhibits the Maryland Science Center has to offer, such as Dinosaur Mysteries, Newton’s Alley, Life Beyond Earth, and Power Up. Three planetarium shows were also shown focusing on space. Special thanks go out to the event host committee:
