Welcome EMBA 13 Students!
The latest cohort of executive MBA students began their 19-month journey to earning their degrees last week (Jan. 18, 2013) at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. The 41 students are the 13th group to start the program since the Smith School launched its EMBA degree in 2002. This year’s class is the largest cohort the Smith School has recruited yet, as applications to have been increasing steadily for the past four years.
Smith School to Host 11th Annual Monte Carlo Night
Join the Smith School community for the largest social event of the year: Monte Carlo Night 2013. The annual fundraiser will be held Saturday, Feb. 16. It is organized by current MBA students and brings together MBAs, alumni, faculty and staff for a night of socializing, dancing and gaming. This year, the event will be held at the historic Andrew Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C. The black-tie-optional gala usually draws nearly 1,000 attendees. The party starts at 8 p.m. and lasts until midnight.

EMBA Students from China Visit Smith School
On October 1, 2012 - China's National Day - the Robert H. Smith School of Business hosted executive MBA students from Peking University HSBC School of Business (PHBS). The 31 executives were travelling across the U.S. on a study trip, visiting several U.S. cities and universities to learn more about the global economy from a U.S. perspective.

UMD’s Smith School Graduates Eleventh Executive MBA Cohort in College Park
On July 28, 2012, 41 executives from EMBA Cohort 11 celebrated the end of their 19-month journey at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. More than 350 family members, friends and members of the Smith School community joined together at the university’s Samuel Riggs Alumni Center for a recognition ceremony to honor their accomplishments.
