Celebrating Our Spring 2020 Graduates

While we can’t celebrate in person this spring, the University of Maryland is committed to honoring the accomplishments of our resilient graduates! Tune in on Friday, May 22, 2020, at 1 p.m. to watch the university's virtual commencement ceremony live followed by the Smith School's virtual commencement.

The annual Undergraduate Awards Banquet celebrates outstanding seniors and faculty of the Robert H. Smith School of Business. Victor Mullins, associate dean of undergraduate programs, invites honored guests to share this special occasion with parents, mentors and friends.

During the Smith Friday dates, we introduce prospective high school applicants to the endless opportunities at Smith. Learn more about majors, special programs, clubs, and career services offered to Smith Terps. Sessions include a presentation and tour of our facilities with current Smith students and staff.

At Pitch Dingman Competition Finals, come watch five of University of Maryland’s hottest student startups pitch their businesses to expert judges for a shot at a $15,000 Grand Prize! Vote for your favorite and they could win $1,000! Come early from 5-6 p.m. to grab a free t-shirt and meet some rising UMD startups at our Founders Showcase!

Students attend a “speed dating” style networking event to practice their networking skills with KPMG professionals. Professionals have the opportunity to provide immediate feedback to students regarding their strengths and areas for improvement.

The Smith Analytics Consortium will host a networking event for alumni, students, industry and SAC board members.
