Smith School Dean Howard Frank, Dingman Center Entrepreneur-in-Residence Tien Wong and Smith School Fellow Wei-Wu He were among the business leaders providing insight into doing business in China and India at a Northern Virginia breakfast forum on February 28, 2007. Dean Frank moderated an expert panel that included Wong, Wei-Wu He and three others at Surviving & Thriving in the Flat World: China, India, and You! The event, presented by Potomac Executive Biz and co-sponsored by the Smith School, drew more than 150 area business people.

MBA Consulting Club to Host Annual Consulting Forum
The Smith MBA Consulting Club invites the Smith community - full-time and part-time students, alumni and faculty - to attend its annual Consulting Forum on Friday, October 20. PBS CEO Exchange Hosted by Smith School
The Smith School hosted the taping of the national television program CEO Exchange on May 2, 2006. During the taping, five Smith MBA students had the opportunity to ask questions of the shows guests, Robert Johnson, founder of Black Entertainment Television, and Bill Marriott, CEO of Marriott International Inc. Maryland Day 2006: FEAR THE TURTLES!
The University of Maryland, College Park, celebrated its eighth annual Maryland Day on Saturday, April 29, attracting 75,000 visitors to campus. The Smith School welcomed visitors on McKeldin Mall, with the day's most popular giveaway - a Smith School/Testudo beach ball. In Van Munching Hall, visitors were able to tour the state-of-the-art building and attend an undergraduate program information session.
