Smith School Partners with NYU Stern to Host Conference on The GSEs, Housing & the Economy

The Center for Financial Policy at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business partnered with the Salomon Center for the Study of Financial Institutions at the NYU Stern School of Business for a daylong conference on “The GSEs, Housing & the Economy” on January 24, 2011, in Washington, D.C. The conference brought together leading academic experts and policymakers to address issues facing government sponsored enterprises (GSEs) and effects on the housing industry and the macro economy. Keynote speakers were Rep. Randy Neugebauer (R-Texas), member of the House Financial Services Committee, and James Lockhart, former Director of Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA).
