Welcome to the Smith School of Business and the University of Maryland!

We are delighted that you have decided to be part of our incredible learning community. The University of Maryland is among the best universities in the world. Additionally, the Smith School is widely regarded as one of the best business schools. As a new student to UMD and Smith, I think you will quickly realize that your affiliation as a student in both learning communities is a very powerful combination.

At Maryland and Smith you will find many current students, alumni, staff, and faculty who are ready, willing, and able to welcome you with open arms. I encourage you to follow the orientation steps outlined below and spend some time reviewing the supplemental materials as the first step in your Smith journey. From there, we will pair you up with a Smith advisor who focuses on undergraduate success, including yours.

Our goal is aligned with your goal: provide you the advice and support needed so that you realize your potential here at the University of Maryland and beyond.

Thank you for choosing Smith! Welcome!
