Thank goodness it’s “Innovation Fridays.” Last spring, we got on board with the University of Maryland’s “Innovation Fridays,” introducing weekly coverage to highlight some of the exciting happenings around innovation and entrepreneurship at the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business. This fall, we continue that semester-long commitment.

University of Maryland Dingman Center Ranks Among Nation’s Best in Entrepreneurship for Undergrads and MBAs

College Park, Md. – September 24, 2012 – The University of Maryland is one of the best in the nation for entrepreneurship education, according to a ranking published today by the Princeton Review and Entrepreneur magazine. The university’s Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship at the Robert H. Smith School of Business is recognized for its leading entrepreneurship programs for undergraduate and graduate students, ranking No. 14 and No. 24 respectively.

Student-Run Entrepreneurship Conference at Shady Grove a Success

Smith students at the schools Shady Grove campus pulled off a professional and very successful daylong entrepreneurship conference on Saturday, April 14, 2007. About 250 people attended the Turning Your Passion Into Profit entrepreneurship conference, organized by undergraduates in Smiths chapter of CEO (Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization) at the Universities at Shady Grove in Rockville, Md.

Students at University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business Host Community Entrepreneurship Conference

Students at the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland will host a community-wide entrepreneurship conference, Turning your Passion into Profit, Saturday, April 14, 2007, at the Universities at Shady Grove (9630 Gudelsky Drive, Rockville, Md.) The Smith Schools chapter of CEO (Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization) organized the daylong conference, which begins at 9 a.m. and continues until 4 p.m., engaging prospective and future business owners, entrepreneurs, and students throughout the Washington region.

Smith Ranked Among Entrepreneur Magazines Top 13

The entrepreneurship program at the Robert H. Smith School of Business is ranked among the top 13 nationally in the April 2005 issue of Entrepreneur magazine. For the third consecutive year and since the surveys inception, the magazine has included the Smith School prominently among its annual list of the best 100 collegiate entrepreneurship programs in the United States.
