Executives from Major League Baseball, the minor leagues and the media shared advice about the profession at the Baseball Industry Networking Night hosted by the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.

April is Team MBA month, and that means Smith School MBAs are getting down and dirty to help their community. From charity auctions to community clean up to clothing drives, members of Team MBA at the Robert H. Smith School of Business are participating in several events to better the lives of people living in and around College Park.
Diversity and Personal Brands
Guests at the 19th Annual William D. Bradford Minority Awards Banquet were encouraged to embrace their diversity last night. “It is important to remember that your diversity adds value to your personal brand,” said Henry Hernandez, a diversity consultant and the event’s featured speaker. Hernandez has worked with some of the nation’s top organizations including SAIC, American Express, the CIA, Pitney Bowes and others. Seeking Superstar Seniors at the University of Maryland for MBA Direct Admit Program
The University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business is offering a unique opportunity to go directly into its full-time MBA program in fall 2012. The MBA Direct Admit Program will admit five highly qualified 2012 graduates from the University of Maryland at College Park to the Smith School’s full-time MBA program, enrolling in fall 2012.
Smith MBAs to Celebrate Annual “International Week”
The MBA community at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business is eagerly awaiting the celebration of one of the school’s long held traditions: International Week, Feb 20-23, 2012. Smith students come from a variety of backgrounds: approximately 40 percent of MBAs come from outside of the United States, including China, India, Kenya, Nigeria, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, and Venezuela.

Smith School of Business spent Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Van Munching Hall for the school’s annual Diversity at Smith Day hosted by MBA Admissions.
