Q Camp is a program of the LGBT Equity Center, a professionally staffed office of the university. We encourage all UMD undergraduate students who are or want to be involved with LGBTQ+ communities on campus, including LGBTQ+ people as well as allies/supporters, to apply. This program is well-suited for first-semester freshmen and transfer students looking to engage more deeply with the campus LGBTQ+ community. Throughout the weekend, students will participate in activities meant to provide positive supports around the following areas:

Immediately following Dingman Friday advising — hop online, grab yourself a snack and learn how to up your game. Pitch Practice is very interactive, so be ready with an elevator pitch or to screen share a pitch deck (max 5 minutes) that you are working on. Incomplete pitches are encouraged as well.

Ladies First Founders (BMGT 369D) is the Dingman Center’s class for female entrepreneurs at the University of Maryland. Taught by Sara Herald, our Ladies First champion, this one-credit course is open to undergraduate women working on businesses.
